Driver Education in Detroit

  • We are located at 430 Mack Avenue in Detroit.
  • We do not offer the road test at this time.
  • Dates are for classroom sessions only. Drive time is ongoing throughout the month.

  • Private Lessons

    Are you a first time driver? Do you need extra practice before the road test? Need one last parking lesson? New to Michigan and need to learn the rules of our roads? Private lessons are available for both teens and adults looking for additional practice driving. This is also a perfect option for international drivers. For your convenience, we offer 1 or 2 hour lessons daily. After your first lesson, pick up and drop off can be arranged within the city limits for an additional fee.

  • Teen Segment 1 + Segment 2

    Age 14.8-17 yrs

    Our Segment 1 and Segment 2 teen classes are offered as a package at a discounted price. Segment 1 is not sold separately. PLEASE NOTE:  **Students are not officially enrolled until a deposit of $200 or full payment of $400 is received.** There are NO partial refunds for a student who reaches 18 before eligible for Segment 2. This package must be paid in full by the first day of class.

  • Teen Segment 2 ONLY

    Age 15-17 yrs

    To enroll in Segment 2, you must have completed Segment 1, documented atleast 30 hours (2 hours of nighttime driving) on your driving log, and held a Level 1 License for atleast 90 days. The $50 fee is only applicable to students who did NOT complete Segment 1 at Wheel to Drive.

  • Adult Permit Test Prep Course

    Age 18+

    This online course will help prepare you to get your Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP).  You can log in and out at anytime from any device. Our interactive lessons and quizzes help you remember the rules of the road while learning at your own pace.

  • Driver Rehabilitation Services

    We offer comprehensive driving evaluations and training for those with disabilities  who may require special adaptive vehicle equipment. A driver rehabiilitation specialist will assess your need for specialized drivers training, develop an individualized driving plan and provide training with appropriate adaptive equipment while assisting you with the steps needed to obtain your own modified vehicle.

  • Drivers Ed for the Deaf

    We are proud to partner with the DAD Foundation and offer in person classroom and behind the wheel instruction for the hearing impaired.  Our patient and friendly instructor and knowledgeable ASL interpreter work together as a team to provide safe and efficient training that will help achieve the goal of driving.
